A loose tarp in South Florida wind is worse than no tarp at all — it flaps, tears, lifts more roofing, and funnels water right where you don’t want it.
We tarp roofs the way roofers do: the tarp extends well past the damaged area, runs over the ridge where possible so water sheds off instead of under, and is secured with battens so wind can’t get underneath. On some damage a temporary dry-in with underlayment is the better choice, and we’ll use whichever protects your home best.
A tarp is a temporary fix. As soon as conditions allow, we inspect the full roof and make the permanent repair — the same crew that tarped it.

It depends on the damage. For a localized opening a tarp is fast and effective. For larger damage, a temporary underlayment dry-in can be more secure. We’ll use whichever protects your home best.
