Most homes dry in about three to five days with commercial equipment running, though it depends on how much water there was, what got wet, and how long it sat. We monitor moisture daily and don’t rebuild until the readings say it’s dry.

We use moisture meters on the framing, subfloor, and drywall and track the readings across the drying period. We only close things back up once they’ve reached a normal, dry level.
